Suroy- suroy: Badian, Cebu (Lambug Public Beach)

Here's the continuation of our awesome Badian trip!

After our Kawasan Falls adventure, we decided to hop on to the tricycle we found. He turned out be Kingkong's cousin so we didn’t have 2nd thoughts. I enjoyed the tricycle trip the most because of where I was sitting or standing actually. I had to stand up in front of the tricycle to add weight and prevent the tricycle from turning over.
You can always take the bus if you want. Just tell the conductor to stop by the Cebu International Golf and Resort. It'll be at the left side of the road if you're from the Kawasan Falls. Tricycles will be waiting for you there by the corner, don't worry :)
When we reached the beach. Locals immediately rushed to us and offered us tents, cottages and rooms that we obviously don't need. We packed 3 tents and why do we need a cottage when we can just eat on a mat on the sand. These locals will offer you anything and even lower their prices just so you can agree on it. A woman offered 200Php for each tent and woah! That's too much. A guy offered us 500Php for all 3 tents plus free toilet usage. We still thought it wasn't worth it.
PATIENCE was all we had and asked all the locals living in the area on how we can save our remaining budget. Finally...
We found a place perfect for camping. Manoy Nic2 offered us 100Php for each tent. That was half of what other resorts offered us! The best part about it? Manoy Nic2 didn't hesitate to let us borrow some if his property.
  • 2 Bamboo beds or Lantay: 1 single bed and a queen sized bed
  • 1 Bamboo chair (we also call it a Lantay)
  • 3 iron grills
  • iron pot
The only problem that we had was the toilet. Furthermore, it wasn't just a problem of ours, it was the barangays problem after all. They have a limited supply only and they said that all their water was consumed by the tourists that day. They said there were too many so boo hooo for us! When everything was settled, we started assembling our tents and prepared for dinner. Our view was very beautiful and perfect!

The dinner, was of course perfect as well! Ha! Ha! We had the grilled pork and the perfect sauce. We bought puso or hanging rice from the closest store in the area. We also bought soft drinks and ice! Manoy Nic2 offered us a gallon of water for 70Php. It was definitely worth it;) Here are some pictures!

We didn't have a fluorescent lamp to light our place but it didn't matter. It helped us see the sky more. There also weird things on the sea water. There were green twinkling lights we've never seen before. It was beautiful. The stars were very visible perfect for star gazing. We talked, laughed a lot, and stories were told. Too bad we were not allowed to have a bonfire in front of us. Manoy Nic2 says the mayor ordered not to but he came back and let us borrow his flash light. Remember to keep everything inside your tents before going sleep. We slept around 3AM and woke up at 6AM. We woke up with the most ravishing view.

Every morning, locals would clean up the beachside. They would dig holes, gather the sea weeds, and bury them because they believe that these sea weeds will soon dry and become sand. Maybe that's their secret;)

I cooked the remaining raw meat and once again had a great breakfast by the beach. Of course, we didn't miss the chance to swim in the crystal clear waters!

Everything was awesome! We saw a lot of different fishes. We saw a clown fish inside an amphiprioninae along with other fishes. There were different kinds of sea urchins, corals, and a sea snake which we immediately swam away from. It rained by 10AM and we decided to head on home;)
water was already available so we had the chance to take our bath.
