Suroy- suroy: Dalaguete, Cebu (Obong Spring)

THIRD STOP: OBONG SPRING
For a 150Php fare from Osmena Peak, we then went to our last and final destination, in Obong Spring. This spring offers a very cool experience, literally because of its ice- cold waters. If you want, you can bring bread and feed it to the fishes swimming under the water and have yourself a relaxing foot spa. Unlike the Kawasan Falls or the springs in Alcoy, Obong Spring is very different for the water is salty. This is because it is located from where the sea and freshwater meets.
The Obong Spring can be found at the left side of the road and it's easy to locate. It's entrance is beside a gymnasium and it also has a little sign on it. Since it is already a commercialised area, entrance fee for 5Php will be collected from the entrance.

There are cottages available around the area. There are also barbecue stands, stores, and sidewalk vendors as well. Again, potable water is scarce in Dalaguete. There are toilet and bathing rooms around the place but sometimes there won't be water left for you to rinse. Some of us rented floaters for a very minimum cost only.

Since we were from up the mountain and we haven't taken our bathes to prepare ourselves from going home, we decided to take a quick dip in Obong Spring. After eating our "brunch" and changed our clothes, we waited for a bus just outside of the entrance. We had a little problem with the bus so we had to go to the closest bus terminal and that's already in Alcoy. We took a tricycle and paid 15Php each. Bus fare from Alcoy to Cebu City is 120Php but for those of us who had students ID paid 91Php only.

So far, our Dalaguete Trip is the cheapest amongst our other trips. We sure did take a lot of pictures especially in our hike to Osmena Peak! I'll make a separate post for our pictures! Meanwhile, here's a list of everything we paid for.
