Suroy- suroy: The Majestic & Mysterious Tumalog Falls (Oslob Escapade Part 3)

Tumalog Falls is only less than a mile away from the whale watching site. If you're looking for something else to do after whale watching, I suggest you head over to this majestic waterfall.

You can easily spot the "Tumalog Falls" signage by the road. Since we were driving from Barangay Tanawan, the we saw the signage at the left side of the road.

If you want to go to Tumalog Falls, take a bus from the South Bus Terminal going to Oslob and tell the bus conductor to drop you off to Tumalog Falls. From the drop- off point, take a motorcycle and they will stop you over by the registration booth. You can either choose to walk on steep concrete road for 10-15 minutes or again ride a motorcycle. Entrance fee is 20 Pesos. Motorcycle fee is from 30-50 Pesos.

As for us, we had our service. When we stopped by the registration booth, we walked our way to the waterfalls. Some of us took a motorcycle due to walking problems and there were kids with us. The road is really steep. The waterfall is so gigantic that we saw it's source from the road.

Before everyone could reach the waterfall, I rushed my way closer to the basin to be the first to get a glimpse of how beautiful the waterfall is. My jaw dropped in appreciation.
Like the Aguinid Falls in Samboan, the water in Tumalog is only knee to waist- high only. People are not advised to dive. Apparently, before I and my family dipped into the ice- cold water, a foreign tourist dived and broke his nose even if there were already other tourist standing up in the water. Without proper first aid medication, he was rushed to the nearest hospital. The place didn't have any signage that says "No Diving". There's also nothing about diving in their rules and regulations. Well, I guess it's already obvious but it seems that there are still people who still need reminders.
I am the kind of person who believes that there are other elements living amongst us. Me and my family suspect that the Korean dived because of a natural force who pushed him off. We believe so because he asked my uncle if it was OK to dive but of course my uncle warned him NOT to. Moreover, a suspected rock fell from the topmost part of the waterfall and almost hit one of my cousins. It dropped a meter away from where she was. We understood that it was already a signal for us to leave the place in peace.

After taking several pictures, we then left Tumalog Falls.
